HR Manager

CarbonSix Korea is a deep-tech startup developing AI-powered robotic hands and automation solutions. Together with our U.S. headquarters, CarbonSix, Inc., we are building cutting-edge robotics technologies for the global market and are growing rapidly.

As we continue to scale into a startup with strong systems and a healthy culture, we are looking for our first dedicated HR team member to help design and build the organization alongside us.

How you will make an impact:
  • Design and operate a structured HR system from the ground up to support a rapidly growing organization.

  • Systematize currently fragmented recruiting and onboarding processes to create a consistent candidate and employee experience during periods of rapid growth.

  • Work closely with the leadership team (CEO, CHO, CTO, CPO, COO) and contribute an HR perspective to organizational design decisions.

  • Design leveling and performance evaluation systems that help employees clearly understand where they belong and what success looks like.

  • Lead organizational culture and talent development initiatives that balance the speed of a deep-tech startup with a healthy team culture.

Key Reponsibilities:

Recruiting & Onboarding

  • Standardize and operate company-wide recruiting processes (job postings, screening and interview processes, offer management)

  • Design and operate onboarding programs for new hires (cultural integration, work setup, probation feedback processes)

  • Manage employer branding and talent pipelines

Performance Management & Compensation

  • Design job leveling frameworks and career level structures

  • Plan and operate performance review cycles (Goal Setting → Check-in → Final Evaluation)

  • Support data collection and analysis for compensation band development

Culture & Talent Development

  • Design and operate employee satisfaction and eNPS surveys; derive actionable insights

  • Operate leadership and management capability development programs for leaders and team leads

  • Plan initiatives that foster psychological safety and a feedback-oriented culture across the organization

HR Operations & Compliance

  • Manage overall HR administration, including employment contracts, personnel records, and social insurance

  • Maintain compliance with labor laws and related regulations

  • Manage HR data and regular reporting processes

Who You Are:
  • Have 5+ years of hands-on experience across HR functions, including recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and culture

  • Have experience building HR functions from 0→1 in a startup or rapidly growing organization, or are eager to do so

  • Have experience designing leveling systems or performance management frameworks from scratch

  • Can maintain objectivity and fairness when handling sensitive information and balancing stakeholder interests

  • Possess strong communication skills and can build trusted relationships with leadership teams as an HR partner

  • Enjoy creating structure and driving execution in ambiguous environments

Nice to have:
  • HR experience in deep-tech, robotics, hardware, or R&D-driven organizations

  • Experience collaborating with global headquarters (U.S.-based entities) or strong English communication skills

  • HRBP experience, particularly partnering with engineering or technical organizations
