Finance Manager

How you will make an impact

• Build reliable and accurate accounting and finance operations across our Korean and U.S. entities
• Improve financial transparency and visibility through timely closes and dependable financial reporting
• Support stable business operations by systematically managing treasury, tax, and accounting activities
• Build and continuously improve finance processes and internal controls that are appropriate for the company's stage of growth

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closes for our Korean and U.S. entities, including consolidated financial reporting
• Prepare financial statements and maintain accurate accounting records
• Manage day-to-day treasury operations, including cash flow, cash disbursements, payments, and bank accounts
• Manage VAT, corporate income tax, and other tax filings, and coordinate with external accounting firms and tax advisors
• Oversee day-to-day accounting and finance activities, including accounts payable and receivable, expense reconciliation, and expense processing
• Manage intercompany transactions, settlements, and related accounting treatment
• Establish and improve accounting procedures, approval workflows, internal controls, and finance policies
• Manage budgets and provide regular reporting on key financial metrics and the company's financial position
• Improve accounting and finance systems and operational processes

What we are looking for

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in accounting, finance, or a related function
• Experience with monthly and year-end closes, financial statement preparation, and accounting and tax operations in a corporate environment
• Strong understanding of day-to-day finance operations, including treasury management and expense reconciliation
• Ability to work effectively with external accounting firms and tax advisors while independently managing related workstreams
• A hands-on approach to accounting and finance, with a proven ability to identify and resolve operational issues
• Ability to set priorities independently and adapt to changing needs in a startup environment
• Interest in building and improving finance processes that fit the company's stage of growth
• Business-level English communication skills

Nice to have

• Experience managing accounting and finance operations at a startup or growth-stage company
• Experience managing accounting and finance for overseas entities, particularly in the U.S.
• Experience with intercompany transactions and consolidated financial reporting across Korean and U.S. entities
• Experience implementing or improving an ERP or other accounting and finance systems
• CPA, tax accountant, or another relevant professional certification, or an academic background in accounting or finance
